The Young Women's Career Conference is an important way in which the GALA community recognizes and celebrates International Women's Day on March 8th.  YWCC gives our girls the opportunity to interact with, learn from, and be inspired by women currently working in STEM careers.  If you'd like to volunteer to make this incredible day happen, please email Fernanda Baserga at  If you are or know a women with a career in a STEM field who might like to participate, please contact Sunita Sinor at  Thank you and see you on the 6th!

International Women's Day - March 8

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organization specific. Make IWD your day - every day.
