Girls Academic Leadership Academy (GALA):
Dr. Michelle King School for STEM
GALA is the only all-girls public STEM school in LAUSD and the state of California. GALA is 6th-12th grades and provides a highly rigorous college preparatory STEM-focused education in an all-girls environment based on voluntary enrollment that fosters academic excellence, ethical leadership, and intellectual curiosity.
GuideStar: Gold Seal of Transparency
Friends of GALA has earned a 2023 Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar. A Gold Seal is awarded to nonprofits that demonstrate a commitment to transparency and accountability. Less than five percent of nonprofits registered with GuideStar have been recognized with a Gold Seal.
