Thanks to generous donations from current and past GALA families, community partners and grantors, we've consistently raised monies each year to support GALA. These funds cover what LAUSD does not and help keep our school at its high level of excellence.
But. And.
Moving onto a new campus has brought a plethora of new needs, costs, and visions of the future. FoGALA has worked diligently to make careful, thoughtful choices about how best to allocate funds and stretch every dollar. Some of those supported new purchases this year included green screen fencing, outdoor storage, beautiful landscaping everywhere, and shelving and cabinetry for our teachers' new classrooms.

As LAUSD commits to the next phase of construction on GALA's campus this summer, we know that with every step forward, there are always needs that go beyond what LAUSD can provide. And while our current and very necessary fundraising efforts support where we are now, we want to also look ahead and support where we want to be. That's where our larger community - and The Legacy Campaign - comes in.
For the first time ever, our families and community have the opportunity to leave a lasting, permanent mark on our new home.
